To apply BioPur first determine the nature of the problem:
(Check what BioPur degrades. Note BioPur will not degrade non-hydrocarbons/non-organics.)
For all three situations: the first steps for application of BioPur are:
For situation (1): Ensure BioPur covers the entire contaminated area. Using a sprayer is essential.
For situation (2): Apply BioPur to all visible FOG (use sprayer if available). If a sprayer is not available, pour diluted BioPur into the system upflow and close to the FOG buildup. Break large floating FOG masses into smaller pieces for faster degradation.
For situation (3): Pour diluted BioPur into drains, sinks, showers, or toilets that lead to the affected pipes. Apply in repeated small doses (250 ml) instead of one large dose.
After applying BioPur, monitor results, observe for reduction of FOG, sheen, or odor. Adjust dilution ratio and frequency based on results and site conditions.
Other important considerations about using BioPur: When BioPur is sprayed or poured into a wastewater system to address one problem, it will continue to flow through the system, benefiting other areas with excessive BOD or FOG. BioPur remains active in cisterns, holding tanks, septic tanks, and STPs for some time.
